Apple Business Profiles - LinkedIn
OK admittedly this reads like an advert. I'm just really jealous. But enough of the drooling, LinkedIn have been in the news this week for finally opening up to the rest of the business world, in the form of an API.
This profile of LinkedIn on the Apple Business site is quite a pleasant surprise. I've been ridiculed at work for being a fan of Apple more times than I care to remember, often to the point where I have to wonder if they actually know anything about Apple, OS X or the technologies in use. What I have found interesting is how some just don't get it. They see the empty interface on the surface, and think 'simple' goes right to the bone.
They've never heard of being able to search for something across a bunch of servers looking in emails, zip files, PDF's, web page bookmarks and more all at once, but they don't usually reply to my email when I send them a link to Spotlight Server.
Anyway, enough of that, before I start to get worked up, and this turns into a full blown rant :)
If you still don't think they're worthwhile as a business machine, read the article. And if you're still not convinced, I'm sorry I've wasted your time, time you could probably have spent tinkering around under the surface of Windows 7, tryna get it to work until, Service Pack 4 arrives.
