Cigarette Processed

L1060525

The image above is a TIFF conversion of a processed RAW file. It's the same shot I blogged about earlier today/yesterday (it's late!), just a much higher quality than the black and white JPEG I was working with in the other post. I let Camera RAW auto adjust the white balance and the other basic settings like exposure and tone. I bumped the clarity up to 100% myself however. I want to get really clear images, at any cost. Once done, I pulled it into onOne's PhotoTools Pro and did 3 things. First I increased the detail and tonal range in the shadows with the Shadow-Highlight tool. I then applied the Amazing Detail Finder A2 effect, and lastly I cross processed the image with a C41 in E6. I love the result! I still however, don't like smoke. So glad they've been put out.

The post below contains the unprocessed image as a JPEG I converted from RAW using Capture One. Notice how it's cropped compared to the one above. Hrmm, how did that happen? Looks like JPEG's are cropped on the D-LUX 4? Why am I only discovering this now? Wake up!
